DescriptionElectric lights outline the shape of a fountain. Additional lights are strung from wires. American flags are draped in the foreground. The building in the background, only partially visible in the dark, may be the Aetna Life Insurance Company building. It has striped awnings at the windows. Pilasters frame the bays. A lighted sign at lower right, evidently reflected in a window, reads: "Maher." Another sign reads: "Aetna."
NotesSubject Note: The Bulkeley Bridge opened to trolley traffic on December 8, 1907 and to the general public on December 21, 1907. The dedication of the bridge was the occasion of a three-day celebration on October 6,7, and 8, 1908.
