DescriptionTwo men and two women in eighteenth-century costume. The woman at the left appears to be dressed as a maid. The other woman and the men wear wigs. The second woman holds a fan and curtsies. She wears white plumes or feathers in her hair and a long pearl necklace. Both men have lace cuffs and wear velvet coats, waistcoats, breeches and hose. The man at the right wears a sword. A rug is on the floor and a theater curtain is in the background.
NotesSubject Note: The Playlovers Club gave a performance of "A Marriage of Convenience" at Parsons Theater in Hartford on January 26, 1914. An article in the Hartford Courant was accompanied by a reproduction of this photograph.
