DescriptionView looking south on Main Street from near the corner of Pleasant Street. New trolley tracks are under construction. Several men are working on the tracks. A trolley is in the background. Pedestrians are on the sidewalks. A man on a bicycle is on the street. Some commercial buildings have signs that read: "Langdon & Daley," "Reid / Tailor." Utility poles line the street. The steeple in the background is on the Fourth Congregational Church.
NotesSubject Note: James W. Reid, a merchant tailor, was located at 1212 Main Street. John F. Langdon and Patrick H. Daley, plumbers, were located at 1230 Main Street. The Fourth Congregational Church, 1091 Main Street, was dedicated in 1850. Ca. 1913 it was sold for commercial development and the portico and steeple were incorporated into the Horace Bushnell Congregational Church on the corner of Albany Avenue and Vine Street.
