DescriptionLarge group of boys, most in band uniforms pose on a stage in front of a painted backdrop depicting a landscape on a large river or lake. Most of the boys hold brass instruments including trumpets, cornets, a saxophone and a trombone. One of several drums in the foreground is inscribed "Hartford, Conn. / Boys' Band / Org. Feb 1 1925 / Rotary Club." One boy wears eyeglasses. An African American boy stands in the back row. The man at the left wearing a suit appears to be the conductor.
