DescriptionUnderwood Typewriter window display with world map and title "From Hartford to Everywhere. Send 10,000 Underwoods at once". Thirteen different typewriters marked by sizes 20, 14, 26, 10, 18, 16 inches. Some marked "For Our Navy," "For King of Spain (duplicate)," "For Emperor of Austria," "For Czar of Russia (duplicate)," "Electric carriage return". Other signs include a list of European and Asian cities, "Where they go," "76 principal offices USA," "The machine you will eventually buy," "Made in Hartford Right," "From the W. U. Telegraph Company" with telegraph equipment "To the Underwood Typewriter Company." On left is an American flag, a metal object with a coiled rope, a framed photograph of the Underwood factory and one of a ship at sea. Giant letters are on floor spell out "Underwood Typewriters". Patterned sidewalk in front is possibly glass.
