DescriptionAn elderly woman is seated in an armchair. An elderly bearded man stands beside a granite hitching post. A second woman stands beside a Windsor chair. Two boys are with a handcart in which a dog is seated. A man and woman (?) are seated in an open horse-drawn carriage. The house is a two-story structure with a picket fence and outbuildings in the rear. The large tree in front appears to be a maple. Notes on back: "E.S. Nickols [sic]" "Southbury."
