DescriptionAn elderly bearded man, a younger man wearing overalls, two women and two small children pose in front of a house that is largely hidden by trees, possibly fruit trees. To the right is an older boy holding a colt, a dog, and a horse hitched to a wagon. A third woman, wearing an apron and possibly a servant, stands in the left background near a picket fence. Behind the fence is a well and another [?] building, apparently a second house. Barns and other outbuildings are in the right background.
