DescriptionTwo men are seated on a rock in the left foreground. One man points to a dark hollow between large rocks and appears to be telling the small boys the story of Putnam and the wolf. A large animal, perhaps an evocation of the legendary wolf, stands on the left-hand rock. Large trees surround the cave.
