DescriptionA view of the center of Brookfield. A gentleman stands beside a stone wall on a road in the lower right corner of the composition. A flagpole, with a liberty cap and weather vane, and a hanging tavern sign stand to the right. On the left of the road beside a row of dwellings stands the town house with a spire. Across the street a building with four windows on the side houses the Episcopal Church. The Congregational Church is behind it.
