DescriptionView of New Hartford from the Albany Post Road, later Route 44. The road is lined with fences, with "low land" on the left. The "Brick" Congregational Church is on the right. Houses and other buildings are to the left. Barber identifies the mountain in the background as Bare Spot Mountain; it is also known as Jones Mountain. Notes indicated that it is "all wooded interspersed with pine and hemlock."
