DescriptionView of the central part of Colebrook. The church, labeled "too large & high" is the Congregational Church. Inscriptions identify the buildings to its right as the house of "Reuben Rockwell," the "Post Office," the tavern of "Rufus Seymour," and the house of "Martin Rockwell." The wooded hill in the background is identified as "Mt. Pisgah." Two "orchard[s" are visible and the fields in the foreground are divided by "stone wall[s." A zigzag Virginia rail fence is beside the road at the right
