DescriptionWest side of Main Street in Hartford, showing Gold Street, before it was widened in 1899. Center Congregational Church is on the right hand side. The two buildings immediately to the left of the church were demolished to widen the street. The horse-drawn wagon filled with barrels on the left is from New England Brewery Co., and is parked in front of the E. J. Sheehan's saloon. The other building was a theatre, looking like it has already been abandoned.
