DescriptionInterior view of the parlor at the Knight Dexter Cheney House, located on Hartford Road in South Manchester, Connecticut. The ceiling appears to be painted or covered with a tapestry and is criss-crossed with decorative wooden beams.The far wall is covered by a large fireplace and bookshelves on either side of it. The mantel is elaborately carved. There is a spinning wheel near the fireplace, to the right. The lower half of the wall to the right is covered with wood paneling, and the uppoer portion is covered with wallpaper. There is a couch in front of the wall. A table, covered with a decorative cloth, is visble in the foreground on the right.
