DescriptionA man stands holding an ax near a large log. Split lumber is at left and right. Chickens are on the ground behind him. A gate stands open at the left. In the background, laundry hangs from a clothesline in front of outbuildings, apparently sheds, whick line the yard. The corner of a frame house with a cellar hatchway is at the left. A second person sits behind the gate near the hatchway.
