DescriptionHalf-length portrait of man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is wearing a black stock or cravat, a white shirt, black waistcoat, and black jacket. The miniature is in a leather-covered wooden case. The silk pad in the case is dark blue and the portrait is framed in yellow silk.
Label TextSamuel Watkinson Collins was the founder of the Collins Company of Collinsville, Connecticut. The Collins Company, established in 1826, was one of the leading manufacturers of axes, machetes, and other edge tools. The company continued in business until 1967.
