DescriptionViews of New Britain include the town green, West Main Street, Strickland House (a hotel), a grocery store owned by E. & E. Haslam, the New Britain Normal School, Shuttle Meadow Reservoir and dam, and several interiors of the South Congregational Church. A series of photographs show a severe ice storm that took place on March 14th 1884. Several photographs depict a fire at Landers Frary Clark Cutlery. Snow and ice appear in some photographs. One photograph is a group portrait of three women and a small child.
