DescriptionFramed portraits hang on the paneled walls of the living room of a large house. Small ceramic statuettes, probably Chinese, are on the mantle above the marble fireplace, which features two large ornate andirons. Two end tables and two upholstered armchairs flank the fireplace. An additional small table with what appears to be an inlaid base is beside one of the chairs. An electric chandelier hangs from the ceiling. A large oriental rug is on the floor.
NotesSubject Note: The home of Morris Joseloff at 59 Sycamore Road, West Hartford, Connecticut was designed by the architectural firm Ebbets & Frid in 1930. Joseloff had one of the most important private art collections in Connecticut. Some of his paintings are visible in some of the photographs of the interiors of his house. (Finlay 9/20/2012)
