DescriptionWoman's coat of light brown wool, trimmed around the neck, down center front, around bottom, and at sleeve wrist openings with a soft, dark brown fur (possibly beaver). The coat, which is straight-bodied, is fitted in the bust with horizontal darts from the armscye. A horizontal seam suggests a high waist. The coat closes at center front with self-fabric loops crossing over the fur to a self-covered button. Another button is mounted at the base of the loops. A large snap at the waistline provides further stability. The neckline is slightly wide and has a stand-up collar, or band, of the fur. The coat is lined with peach-colored synthetic fabric. There is a welted pocket on each side in front.
