DescriptionWoman's elegant coat of black velvet, with a hood trimmed with white fur (probably rabbit). The coat fastens down the proper left side, just off center, with two larger self - covered buttons and loops. Also, there are self-fabric ties at the neckline, at the base of the hood. There is also a velvet loop on the edge of the button side of the opening, which attaches to ties in the lining on the right side. The long sleeves are fitted by darts into the top of the shoulder, giving the appearance of padded shoulders. The coat is lined with a cream-colored synthetic fabric. Woven tape label at back of neck: "G. FOX & Co. / INC. / HARTFORD, CONN" in black on white.
