NotesDate Note: Charles Balthazar Julien Fevret de Saint-Memin was only active in America from 1793 to 1814. (Ruocco, 03/31/12) Subject Note: Though it isn't clear who the man in the portrait is, it is known that Saint-Memin did a portrait of Jonathan Brace. So far it has not been possible to find a portrait of Brace of compare with this one. (Ruocco, 04/6/12)
