DescriptionWhite leather infant shoes, with rounded square toes and flat soles. The throatline is cut in scallops, each scallop punched with a round hole. The upper is punched with alternating diamonds and circles in a line circumscribing the foot. These shapes are outlined with decorative stitching. Mounted on top of the instep is a matching white leather bow-like ornament, the lower layer being scalloped and punched, and the upper layer being cut in three petals. At the center of the bow is mounted a metal ornament in the shape of a buckle. The upper is lined with white plain-woven cotton, which shows through the punchwork of the leather. An elastic cord is mounted at the back of the shoe through punched holes; the ends of the cord are secured by a dark metal ball. The sock lining is white cardboard. The soles are straight.
