DescriptionBrown leather infant shoes, with round toe. At about ankle height, the shoes are cut with two tabs which are punched for a small buckle (now fastened with a ribbon). A long, square tongue, cut one with the vamp, extends up the front of the ankle underneath the tabs. The upper is seamed only at the center back. The heel, which is one thickness of leather, is stitched through the sole and the back of the upper, appearing like a welted seam. The soles are straight, not differentiated for right and left.
