DescriptionThree small whistles of varying shapes and sized, in a purple fabric bag.

Whistle (.a) is shaped like a teapot with a domed lid with a finial on top. The rectangular handle has a C-scroll at the bottom; the top and bottom of the handle attach to the bottom of the teapot. Opposite the handle, a long, cylindrical piece of metal attaches diagonally to the bottom of the teapot. The piece has a narrow slit at the top end, and an air hole cut in the top side. A narrow support bar attaches horizontally between the cylindrical metal piece and the side of the teapot. There is a pin-sized hole in the top of the whistle near the handle, where the lid of the teapot meets the rim. Both sides of the teapot are decorated with a flower on a stem; the underside has a similar flower, without the stem, inside a double circular border. Dots and rope work decorate the long, cylindrical portion of the whistle.

Whistle (.b) is made of four pieces of metal soldered together. The main body of the whistle is a cylindrical piece of white metal with a brass thimble soldered on top. A handle is formed of a thin strip white metal that is soldered to the bottom of the cylinder, then curves up, out, and around, where it is soldered again to the bottom of the thimble. The fourth piece of metal is a hollow brass cylinder soldered diagonally to the bottom of the cylinder that forms the main body. The fourth piece of metal has an air hole about midway down its length; much of this piece is covered with solder. The top of the thimble has a small hole poked through it.

Whistle (.c) is a white metal cylinder that tapers slightly from the top down to a wide, flat, foot. Toward the top of the whistle, there are two decorative rings, one over the other.

Bag (.d) is made of hand-stitched purple fabric. A single piece of fabric was folded in half, then stitched along the bottom and up one side. The top opening of the bag is not finished with a hem.
