M. P. Ryder

Marshall P. Ryder was born in New York State but moved to Plainville, Connecticut as a young man. After working for a few years as a butcher, he opened a stationery and novelty business. He also published postcards. He had been in business in Plainville for forty years when he died suddenly in 1916.
