Morris Rundbaken

Morris [or Maurice] Rundbaken, the son of John and Natalie Rundbaken, was born on 15 August 1831 in New York City, but lived in the Hartford area most of his life. He had three brothers (brother Harry was a carpenter) and two sisters. In the 1910 census, he was listed as being 26 years old, living with his father and mother (ages 60 and 45, respectively) and having the occupation of a "Printer" and a location of "House." The family lived on Oakland Terrace. They are listed in the census as being a "Yiddish" family that came from "Russia-Poland."

He opened his sign painting business, Rundbaken Sign Co., in 1900. In 1952, the firm became known as Rundbaken Display, Inc. and was located in East Hartford. He died on 26 June 1967.
