Christopher John Dodd was born on 27 May 1944 in Willimantic, Connecticut. He is the son of Thomas Joseph Dodd (1907-1971) and Grace Mary Dodd (1907-1973). Chris Dodd was a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Connecticut's 2nd district (1975-1981), General Chair of the Democratic National Committee (1995-1997), and United States Senator from Connecticut (1981-2011).
