Mildred (Pomeranz) Allen was a Connecticut Republican politician. She was the first Jewish woman elected as Secretary of the State of Connecticut (1955-1959).
Born on 7 November 1907 in Hartford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Morris Pomeranz and Anna Landsberg. She married Edward N. Allen (1891-1972), president of Sage-Allen department store. She died on 23 September 1961 in Milton, Massachusetts.
