Everett Augustus ScholfieldAmerican, 1843 - 1930

Everett Augustus Scholfield was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on December 8, 1843. After serving in the Civil War, he began working as a photographer in Wakefield, Rhode Island and Norwich, Connecticut. In 1866, he opened a studio in Mystic River, Connecticut. In 1872, he was in Putnam, Connecticut, but he returned to Mystic River in 1873. He also travelled to the West Indies. From 1901 to 1912 he had a studio on Bank Street in New London. He returned to Mystic following his retirement, and died on October 20, 1930.
