BiographyThe Reverend Aaron Hovey married Huldah Ely on 9 September 1802; this was her second marriage. Hovey was the minister at the Second Ecclesiastical Society of Saybrook, working with his father-in-law, the Reverend Richard Ely.
Ely had five children from her first marriage to Uriah Hayden 2nd: Electa Hayden (1793-1802), Prudence Amelia Hayden (1795-1880), William Sheldon Hayden (1797-1861), Charles Uriah Hayden (1799-1840), and Louise Cecelia Hayden (1801-1841).
Ely had four children from her second marriage to the Reverend Aaron Hovey: Aaron Ely Hovey (b. 1805), George Freeman Hovey (1807-1817), Richard Ely Hovey (b. 1813), and Henry Russell (1816-1871).
