Samuel Haughton (1760-1812) was a partner in the firm of Haughton & Lathrop in 1784. Thereafter, he advertised alone in The Connecticut Journal of 19 April 1797, standing that he was located on state street. He later advertised in the Connecticut Herald of 7 April 1812.
