Vincent Brown Coffin

Vincent Brown Coffin was born on 7 February 1897 in Middletown, Connecticut, the only son of Seward Vincent Coffin and Della Maria Brown. He married first Gertrude Emily Rush on 16 September 1922. They had two children, Seward Rush Coffin and Jane Vincent (Coffin) Coffin. He married second Mary Catherine Hitchcock on 13 November 1943. He was the first chancellor of the University of Hartford and former vice president of the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company of Hartford. Vincent Coffin died in Hartford on 6 March 1978.
