Caroline Brewer was born May 29, 1826, in East Hartford, Connectictut. She was the daughter of Daniel and Sarah (Viets) Brewer. Caroline Brewer married William Smith Avery (1813-1891) on December 24, 1845 in East Hartford, Connecticut. Their son Willie Brewer was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on April 6, 1849, and he died in Hockanum on August 23, 1876.
