BiographyEleazer Lord was born 1699 in Saybrook, Connecticut, son of Benjamin Lord (1666-1713) of Saybrook, Connecticut. He married Abigail Cheeseborough Mumford, the widow of Thomas Mumford of Groton, Connecticut in 1754. Eleazer Lord was a major landowner and merchant of the "Lord's Bridge" section of Norwich, Connecticut (now Baltic, Connecticut). He died in 1786.
