William J. Schaldach

William Joseph Schaldach was a painter, printmaker, illustrator and author. He was born 15 February 1895 in Elkhart, Indiana and studied at the Art Students League in New York City. Many of his articles and much of his artwork are of hunting and fishing. He made several prints of Connecticut subjects while living in Connecticut during the 1930s and 1940s. In 1956, he moved to Tubac, Arizona where he spent most of the remainder of his life.
