BiographyFormerly Haviland Brothers & Co, founded 1854, by David Haviland (1814-1879) and his brothers. In 1864 that company was dissolved and he formed Haviland & Co. with his sons, Theodore Haviland and Charles Edward Haviland. His sons continued the business after his death until 1892 when the partnership was dissolved. Charles Edward Haviland (c. 1839-1921) continued manufacturing porcelain under the name Haviland & Co. That company was bought by Maison GDA in 1931. In 1892, Theodore Haviland (c. 1842-1919) formed Theodore Haviland & Co.
