Captain John Lawrence

John Lawrence was born 11 June 1719, son of Captain John and Marriane (Beauchamp) Lawrence. He was married 26 September 1748 to Margaret Chenevard. He was the Treasurer of Connecticut from 1769 to 1789 and was commissioner of loans for the United States during the American Revolution. He had at least four children; Mary or Margaret Lawrence and William Lawrence (1751-1821). He died 25 December 1802.
