BiographyEdmund Hughes was born in 1787. He was trained by Eleazer Baker in Ashford, and by 1804, he was working in Hampton, Connecticut. Edmund Hughes also worked in Middletown, Connecticut, where he formed partnerships with John Ward (Ward & Hughes, 1805-1806), Jonathan Bliss (Hughes & Bliss, 1806), and with Julius C. Francis (Hughes & Francis, 1806-1809). Edmund Hughes died in 1851 and was burried in Middletown.
