Hannah Latimer Cheney was the daughter of Horace Bushnell and Mary Caroline Ogden Pierson Cheney. She married Byard Williams, M.D. in 1939, and they had three children: Timothy Cheney Williams; Byard Owen Williams, (b. 1945); and Ann Bushnell Williams, (b. 1947.)
