Derby Wilson

Derby Wilson was an American tap dancer. In the early 1930s, Wilson teamed up with Willie Eugene “Bill” Bailey to form a dance duo. Together, they toured and performed at high‑profile venues, including the Cotton Club. In 1933, when Duke Ellington’s band traveled to Europe, Wilson and Bailey toured with the Ellington orchestra as part of the show’s entertainment.
