Helen Woodward

Helen Woodward was born 29 June 1868 in Windham, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Mary Abbe Smith Woodward (1842-1940) and Patrick Henry Woodward (1833-1917). Her parents lived in Savannah, Georgia, while her father established the mail service after the Civil War. Her father, a lawyer, later became Vice President of the Connecticut General Insurance Company.

Helen Woodward married Stephen Henry Granberry (1848-1928) of Midway, Mississippi, on 16 November 1892. He had been ordained an Episcopal priest in 1873. They had at least one daughter, Helen Granberry Waterman (1893-1995). Helen Woodward Granberry died in Hartford, Connecticut, on 15 August 1927.
