BiographyFrederick William Carpenter was born on May 13, 1820, a son of Solomon and Elizabeth (Walker) Carpenter, in Tolland, CT. He married Clarissa Symonds Bull on November 27, 1845. They had three children: Alice Rosalie Carpenter (1846-1923), Ada E. Carpenter (born 1850), and William Butler Carpenter (1853-1922). In the 1850 federal census, Carpenter is listed as a mill operator. Carpenter died on May 19, 1907 in Clifton Heights, Delaware.
