BiographyJohn M. Craig was born on 17 November 1860 in Quincy, Massachusetts. He was the son of Joseph and Mary Craig. He grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, and moved to Hartford in 1892, where he became the manager of the brass foundry at Colt Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company. In 1905, he opened his own brass foundry, the J.M. Craig Foundry, on Arch Street in Hartford. He died on 13 February 1933 in Hartford.
