Grace M. Dodd

Grace (Murphy) Dodd was born on 9 November 1907 in Westerly, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of John Murphy and Helena Higgins Murphy. She graduated from Trinity College in Washington, DC in 1929. She married Thomas Joseph Dodd (1907-1971) on 19 May 1934. They had six children. She served on the State Board of Education for the Blind. She set up the National Youth Administration program in Connecticut and served in the Department of Justice from 1938-1943. She died on 29 January 1973 in New London, Connecticut.
