BiographyWallace Barnes was born on 22 March 1926 in Bristol, Connecticut. He was the chairman and chief executive officer of Barnes Group, Inc. from 1977-1991. Barnes was Bristol Republican town chairman (1953-1955), a Connecticut state senator (1958-1962 and 1966-1970), and an unsuccessful Connecticut gubernatorial candidate (1970). He died on 10 December 2020.
