BiographyAlbie Booth was an American football player. He played football at Yale University from 1929-1931. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1966.

Albert James "Albie" Booth was born on 1 February 1908 in New Haven, Connecticut. He was the son of Albert James Booth (1880-1939) and Mary Frank Booth (1882-1955).

He attended Hillhouse High School. Notably, in 1929, Booth lead Yale University to a game winning upset against the United States Military Academy Army Black Knights, scoring all of Yale's points to a 21-13 win. Booth also played basketball and baseball at Yale.

He married Marion Noble in 1932. They had two children: Marion (1933-2014) and Alberta Jane Booth (b. 1935). He died on 1 March 1959 in New York City.
