Stephen Conover
Stephen J. Conover is an attorney based in Connecticut, specializing in professional liability defense, legal ethics, and alternative dispute resolution. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1978 and his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law in 1981. He was admitted to practice law in Connecticut in 1982.
Conover is a partner at Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP. He served as President of the Fairfield County Bar Association (2003-2004) and as an elected member of the Connecticut Bar Association's Board of Governors.
Conover is an experienced neutral arbitrator and mediator, trained by the American Arbitration Association and Quinnipiac University Law School Center for Dispute Resolution. He has also served by appointment as a Special Master mediating civil cases in the State Superior Court in Stamford since 1996. His distinguished career has earned him recognition as a "Best Lawyers" in Ethics and Professional Responsibility Law and Mediation, and a "Connecticut Super Lawyers" in Professional Liability Defense.
