Christine S. Vertefeuille
Christine S. Vertefeuille, born on December 10, 1950, in New Britain, Connecticut, is an American jurist who served on the Connecticut Supreme Court. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Trinity College in 1972 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1975.
In 1989, she was appointed to the Connecticut Superior Court. She also served as the Administrative Judge in the Waterbury Judicial District (1994-1999) and as a Complex Litigation Judge (1999). Vertefeuille was appointed to the Connecticut Appellate Court on September 13, 1999, and then to the Connecticut Supreme Court on January 3, 2000. She held the position of Administrative Judge of the Appellate System from June 1, 2000, to July 31, 2006.
Justice Vertefeuille received several accolades, including the Judicial Award from the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association in 1995 and an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
