Matilda Delano Cheney1922 - 2016
Matilda Cheney was the only child of Gen. Sherwood Alfred Cheney (1873-1949) and Louise Delano (1891-1923). She was born on 2 November 1922 in Peking (Beijing), China, where her father served in the military.
She married Tully Robinson Wise (1912-1981) in 1952. After his death, she married William John Millard (1918-1994) in 1988.
Matilda died on 4 April 2016 in Alexandria, Virginia.
