Eduardo Mondlane

Eduardo Chivambo Mondlane was born in Mozambique on June 20, 1920. He was the President of the Mozambican Liberation Front from 1962 until his assassination in 1969. He was an anthropologist by profession, and worked as a history and sociology professor at Syracuse University before returning to Mozambique in 1963. He was assassinated on February 3, 1969 in Tanzania.
