Richard Blumenthal

Richard Blumental was born on 13 February 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Harvard College in 1967 and from Yale Law School in 1973. He served as United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut from 1977-1981, a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 145th district from 1984-1987, a member of the Connecticut Senate from the 27th district from 1987-1991, was the 23rd Attorney General of Connecticut from 1991-2011, and is a United States Senator from Connecticut from 2011 to present [2025].
